Making Tax Digital for Income Tax

Quarterly updates are coming. We'll make them a non-event.

From April 2026, self-employed people and landlords earning over £50,000 must keep digital records and send HMRC an update every three months. Pick how hands-on you want to be — we'll handle the rest.

Rob Webb, founder of Gazelle Accountancy
Meet your accountant

Rob Webb, founder. A people person who happens to love a tidy ledger.

Rob started Gazelle Accountancy in 2015 after a degree in Music and Acoustics at the University of Salford — which is why so many of our clients are musicians, producers, presenters and creators. He knows what irregular income, royalties and touring expenses actually look like.

You deal with Rob directly, not a rotating team. He'll simplify your finances, tell you what you need to know when you need to know it, and never drown you in accountancy-speak.

Common questions

Things people ask on the first call.

Anything else — just ask. There's no such thing as a silly question about tax.

What services do you offer?

Bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and workplace pensions, statutory accounts and corporation tax for limited companies; accounts, self assessment and MTD submissions for the self-employed; and personal tax for directors, landlords and individuals.

Can you help with my personal tax return?

Yes. Whether you're a director, a landlord, a freelancer or simply have income outside PAYE, we prepare and file your self assessment and explain the result in plain English.

What is Making Tax Digital and does it affect me?

MTD for Income Tax means keeping digital records and sending HMRC quarterly updates instead of one annual return. It starts in April 2026 for self-employed people and landlords with gross income over £50,000, dropping to £30,000 the following year. Our MTD explained page walks through it.

Do you offer support all year round?

Yes. Monthly clients can call, email or WhatsApp whenever something comes up — a letter from HMRC, a question about an invoice, a decision you want a second opinion on. We'd rather hear about it early.

Where are you based?

Chadwell Heath, Romford, with clients across the UK. Most work happens over Xero, email and video calls, so distance isn't an issue.
